Mudslide Nearly Throws Wrench in FLW Series Bass Fishing Tourney

Yesterday morning a large section of Highway 188 was impassible by 6 am just north of Roosevelt Lake, the site of this week's final FLW Series Western Division event. The mudslide occurred a little before 6 in the morning, but luckily most of the competitors had already made it to the lake by then. It took road crews nearly five hours to clean the road of mud rock and damaged guard rails.
Highway 188 is the main road from the lake to Payson where a bunch of the field and staff are staying.
