New Flip Weights Offer More Weedless Bass Fishing Options

Jimmy Millsap and Rich Lowitzki have cut their teeth competing professionally on different FLW Outdoors trails. Their years of experience translate well into new offerings with their partnership company, JimRic Enterprises. You've seen their very effective shaky head the Weedless Wonder here on Wired2Fish.com. However, they just released a new product, the Flip Weight, that both Millsap and Lowitzki have been using to collect checks all season this past year.
The Flip Weight is a flipping and punching bullet weight with a small neck area where anglers can add their own custom skirt. The result is a jig profile that slides up and down a line on an oversized bullet weight. It makes it great for punching, but it's great for other techniques as well.
Bullet weights with skirts on them accounted for some awesome bass this spring in the bushes and vegetation.
"The Flip Weights helped me catch 18.5 pounds on my way to a top 50 at Eufaula," said Lowitzki. "They helped me catch a limit the last day at Guntersville after struggling the second day. They helped me catch a limit each day at Okeechobee on my way to a good check! Jimmy used them to catch 18 pounds at Guntersville on his way to a top-30 finish. He also used it to catch 23 pounds at Eufaula the second day on his way to another top 30!"

The weights come in three sizes now starting at 1/4ounce and including 1/2 and 3/4 ounce. Soon they will also have 1-ounce versions. And hopefully a 3/8 ounce model will be in the works soon as well (our request). The 1/4 ounce size weights come three to a pack and the others will be two to a pack.
The best part is they are affordable at $1.80 a pack. A great source for making your own skirts is fishingskirts.com. Our buddy Charles Hymes has tons of great colors and Jason designed several of the skirt tabs there like Fry Chaser, Lightning Bug, Red River Craw and more. They go perfectly with the green pumpkin and black/blue Flip Weights from JimRic.
To order the weights, visit JimRicEnterprises.com for more information. They have weights for sale now and will have more online retailers soon.
And let us know how you experiment with them. We've caught some fishing flipping docks, bushes and grass. We've caught fish around wood with flipweights and skirts. And we've even put big 10-inch worms on them and caught fish that way offshore. How do you catch bass with them.
