Spro Solid as Always with new Offerings

Spro has a fun prostaff and we like to talk shop with those guys because they are really into bait building. They make great baits and this year a lot of what they offered was new sizes that give you another, possibly more effective in certain situations, option when fishing. But they also had a few new cool introductions.
The first was the Spro McRip. It's a deeper diving rip bait / jerkbait that will cover that 8 to 10-foot range effectively. Features the great Spro weight-transfer casting system as the McStick (which now also comes in a 95 size - small but castable still).

The other introduction we liked was the Fat John. It's a wider, bigger body on a shallow diving crankbait. It's a 0-3 foot runner (noticing a theme at this year's show). That's got a great profile and should cast like a rocket like all the baits in the John Crews signature line.

There is the new smaller-sized McStick and also the BBZ1 Baby Shad that lots of pros were excited about (even outside the Spro camp).
Gamakatsu had a few new offerings as well in the hook categories. Those were the Wicked Wacky hook and the Heavy Cover worm hook. The wicked wacky features a weed guard on a really curved almost oversized octopus hook for wacky rigging Senkos and floating worms, etc. The Heavy Cover worm hook is for punching and flipping plastics into heavy cover. The hook is straight shank, welded eye and features a single metal barb held in place with a plastic sheath. It's a mean looking hook for sure.
